Why We Built This
Wrike Approvals are designed to help teams maintain governance and quality, but not every sign-off requires every single person on a team to weigh in. Sometimes, you just need a fast response from the first available team member.
To better support your day-to-day review and intake flows, weβve expanded our decision modes to give you maximum flexibility. This update addresses key scenarios you brought to our attention in the Community:

Whatβs New?
When creating an approval, you can now toggle the decision type between All approvers required and Any approver required.
- Default Setting: New approvals will default to All approvers required to preserve your existing processes.
- Edit on the Fly: You can change the approval type on an active approval that has already been created.
Cross-Platform Availability: Set up decision modes across Work Item View, Request Forms, and Workflows.
- Mobile Support: On mobile, if an approval is set to Any approver required, the approval respects the rule and closes immediately as soon as one person approves.
- Updated Filters & Statuses: Weβve added a new filter for approver decision values. Remaining approvers will automatically update to a "No Longer Required" status once an item set to Any approver required receives its first decision.
