TL;DR: AI Agents now includes a conversational builder, Templates Configurations Mapping is available in Wrike Labs, Required Fields has been expanded with more supported field types and controls, and Whiteboards text objects have been enhanced with richer formatting options. We’ve also updated the Klaxoon Timer, Stopwatch, and Break experience, and shared the latest Community news, including the June Challenge, a new Template Tuesday post, an onboarding article, and an upcoming webinar.
Feature Updates
We’re excited to share that creating and editing Wrike AI agents is now available with the new conversational builder experience.
This update introduces a guided chat experience for creating and editing AI agents, allowing teams to automate repetitive work by describing what they want in plain language. The builder then helps configure the agent based on your actual workspace setup, including custom fields, workflows, and item types.
What’s new?
- Create AI agents through a step-by-step chat instead of setup forms
- Describe automation goals in plain English
- Get guided questions to define triggers, scope, and actions
- Builder references your actual custom fields, workflows, and item types
- Unsupported requests are identified with the closest available alternative suggested
- Review, edit, save, and activate agents directly within the chat
- Existing agents can also be updated using the chat experience
These improvements provide teams with a more conversational way to build automations for repetitive tasks like status syncing, date updates, and task routing. For full details, see the Community post and Help Center article.
We’ve introduced Configurations Mapping for Templates in Wrike Labs, making it easier to install Templates into existing Spaces without creating unnecessary duplicate configurations.
With this update, Space Admins can now select Review and choose during Template installation. This adds a mapping step where custom fields from the Template can either be:
- Added as new, or
- Matched to existing custom fields in the target Space or account
This helps teams adopt Templates more smoothly while keeping them aligned with their existing workspace structure and data setup.
At launch, mapping is supported for Custom Fields. Support for Workflows and Custom Item Types will be added in a future update. Account owners can enable this feature through Wrike Labs.

We’ve introduced more updates to Required Fields, giving teams greater flexibility to control workflows and enforce the right conditions before work can move forward.
What’s new?
- More field types are now supported:
- Formula custom fields
- Link to Database mirrored custom fields
- Item type
- Time spent
- Files
- New workflow control use cases are now possible, including:
- Preventing status changes if a formula value is out of range or empty
- Requiring tracked time before completing a task
- Requiring files to be attached before work can move forward
- Validating the correct item type before allowing the next status
The Workflow column is now available in Custom Fields admin lists, making it easier to see where a custom field is used.

We’re excited to share that text objects on Whiteboards have been updated with more formatting options and improved text behavior.
This update brings more consistency and flexibility when working with text on boards, including fixed font sizes, heading styles, clickable links, and text highlighting.
What’s new?
- Font size is no longer affected by board zoom when a text object is created
- Set font size in pixels for more consistent text formatting
- Apply heading styles including Paragraph, Heading 1, Heading 2, and Heading 3
- Select multiple text objects and update their font size at once
- Improved copy and paste behavior to better preserve text styles
- Add clickable links directly within text objects
- Highlight specific parts of a text block to make key information stand out
Good to know:
- Each text object supports one font size for consistency
- Use heading styles for titles and larger text sections
- Spacing in existing text objects may adjust slightly the first time they are edited after this update
These improvements provide a more polished and flexible text editing experience on Whiteboards. For full details, see the Help Center article.
